Sales order is the list of things a customer buys. These orders are final orders by the customers in QuickBooks online for purchase orders before the invoice is created for a sales order you can mention the product details that you want to refer to the vendor because the product or service is not available.

Online sales order is always the final order which further becomes the invoice of a final order in online QuickBooks.
